The default file manager doesn't show any kind of indication. I could use a progress bar, a percent, an estimated time remaining figure, or anything that lets me know how the file transfer is going.

Maybe you haven't noticed. ROX-Filer does have a progress bar. Unit is percent.
Hi @MochiMoppel , thanks for your help, but it should depends on your puppy versión.
My puppy rox doesn't display this progress bar, for it is a simple bar.
