vlc- can't make it show stream/recrd

stream adress-already logged in:

didnot auto-start with media>open network stream>[PASTE IN working STREAM]>play [>record]

i've fiddled about, had and lost it again. would like to set regular hours to help me sleep, as my fav tv is too late into night.

whch logs and where pls.

<~bol>....d is now <~Bold.avi>, but no improvement,nor rejection.

apparently i need the m3u for ~ 10play/bold/ in perth i've asked them for it.

Logs are usually found in the /tmp directory
