Am running FP64 and noticed a problem. On a fresh install I can adjust side panel and main window (see red arrow) by grabbing the border and moving it, but after completing configuration to my liking (and undoubtly causing the malfunction), I noticed now I cannot adjust the side panel window border. NO change of the mouse cursor to grab onto....
Works OK in Geany for me. Version 1.35
I wonder if you are trying the correct location.
Should place mouse pointer over the right side of that divider.
Actually the edge of the line number bar.

my shaky hands..., without the sav file loading on boot, I can adjust the sidepanel. After booting with my sav folder, I lose the adjustment. Nothing obvious on the geany.conf file... Minor inconvenience (my type A personality 
).
I am using Fossapup64 9.5, with a save file, and Geany works for me.
I can change the width of the side panel.
What type file are you actually looking at in Geany?
Can you give me the name of one, that is already in Fossapup64, to open in Geany?
If it works OK before you made the save.
Not sure what it would be, but maybe something you added to Fossapup64 is causing this.
Added any programs?

A while back I ran into that type of problem. The issue was that I also changed the Theme for windows/GTK. This new them made the divider bar selection area only 1 pixel wide. It was hard to drag and resize. Maybe by changing themes you will get a bigger divider bar.

I did change the cursor theme and I found out the cursor shape fails to change over the "sweet spot" to change the width of the side panel!. I can change the width but the mouse cursor shape does not change. thanks for your input.
