Just moved into apartment with Fibre WIFI so need a puppy pet.
Running Fossapup64 9.5
AMD Phenom 11 z 550 processor
cfg80211
TP-Link 802.11ac NIC

Please keep help at the simple stupid level.

@Fishy - you will need a driver, some firmware, or both. Please run the following diagnostics in a terminal with the adaptor plugged in:

lsusb | grep ireless || lsusb | grep -i wlan (NOTE: lsusb starts with lowercase L)

and then

dmesg | grep irmware

and post results here.
