No problem on my installs of Fossapup64 9.5
You did something wrong.
Got corrupted download or install of the Fossapup iso.
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected

if it looks like this then that's the default wallpaper when booting the minimal version without the adrv.sfs
