sed: couldn't flush stdout: Broken pipe

gcc is in the package blacklist
awk is builtin

any idea how to fix?
I checked dmesg USB {fsck badblocks] and loop load order, all fine

@galen :-

Hm. Yeah, I've had that happen before now. Not with a re-master - it's been years since I played around with those - but just during the course of doing 'normal' stuff.

If your 'awk' is a sym-link, that's pointing back at itself, then somehow during your re-master 'awk' has got lost. ATM, you don't HAVE 'awk'; it's going to need adding back in.

(I've never understood quite how OR why this happens. I'd love somebody to explain to me what's going on at that point..!)

I do build the odd customized Puppy, but I tend to just create them in a self-contained directory in one of my 'work areas'.....same as if I was adding a new sub-directory in my main partition where the rest of the 'kennels' live. I do all the re-building, re-creation of the main Puppy SFS, etc, in that location; then, when I'm completely happy with it, I'll do a quick'n'dirty "install" to a ready-prepared USB stick, and take it for a spin.

How have you created yours? Is it on a stick, or has it been burnt to an optical disk? I just find a USB stick a lot more practical; if owt needs modifying, it's usually just a case of re-building the main SFS to make the change. If you're using a disc, it's all got to be re-created & re-burnt again......
