An update of Dpup Squeeze 5.08 D-Lite.
Installed new programs.. Seamonkey 2.48(glibc2.19), foxit reader, listDD, uextract, Pads, Menuentrymaker,
xfburn, xmms-ultra, vlc, deadbeef 0.72, ffaudio, Dogradio, simpleGTKradio, Transmission, retrovol and much more. Static FFmpeg upgrade courtesy of John Van Sickle.

Glibc is updated to 2.19.

Please Note this amended distro compat repo to place in /root/.packages - so that ppm updates for squeeze repos.

- rename as the file has a .gz on the end so rename as Distro Compat Repos in capitals.

Why muck around with such an old Pup - because it is fun and still a useful Pup. Note PPM at the moment can't download from squeeze repos however can from dpup repo and pup5 and pup 4 (Working on that). Pets can be installed as normal.

Inbuilt Vlc is not playing mp4 where as mplayer builtin does so just click on mp4 and mplayer command line will play it.
Download this static vlc if you wish to replace the inbuilt one in /usr/bin. I have tested and it works.

ibus Chinese input platform: ibus cannot run in Dpup Squeeze 5.0.8 D-Lite

scim Chinese input platform: scim_1.4.9-en-zh-precise-12.2.4.pet (25 mb)

yong Chinese input platform: yong3264_20201122-en-zh-precise-12.2.4.pet (14 mb)

names of Chinese language pets:
Simplified Chinese: squeeze-5.0.8lite2020-zhcn-12.2.4.pet (3 mb)

Traditional Chinese: squeeze-5.0.8lite2020-zhhk-12.2.4.pet (3 mb)

To use:
(a) any 1 of the 4 half-Chinese language pets will enable you to display and input Chinese in Dpup Squeeze 5.0.8 D-Lite

(b) the Chinese language pets will give you Simplified Chinese (use zhcn pet) or Traditional Chinese (use zhhk pet) menus, icon labels, tooltips for Dpup Squeeze 5.0.8 D-Lite. For the Chinese pets to work normally, you must install a suitable half-Chinese pet prior to install the Chinese pet.
