Re: fossapup64-9.5 waiting for modules to complete loading

Hi rcrsn51 , thanks for interesting in I had to check it out so as not to write nonsense. If there is fossapup64save-corrino.3fs in the fossapup64 folder saved with alone puppy_fossapup64_9.5.sfs, fossa boot-up, but in any other case - for example with pfix = ram - it hangs on. Re: fossapup64-9.5 waiting for modules to complete loading

Hi rcrsn51 I just don't like not knowing - the sfs append routine is some sort of workaround, but the cause of the hang is still unclear. I suppose the problem is due to the lack of drivers, but that's just a guess. BIOS Phoenix v6.00 dated 06/07/2011 - laptop is over 10 years old, GeForce 9300M GS ...

Re: Why Do You Use Puppy Linux?

Welcome to The Puppy World

Main question: why Puppy? Because it is most user-friendly system I ever seen. 3 milestones: 4.3.1, precise 5.7.1 and Bionicpup 8. Frugal installation is a brilliant idea. Last, but not least, I love dogs :D

Huge heartfelt thanks to all who created this world!

@MochiMoppel

Thank you for your participation in the discussion. From what I read for 3 hours from the links tree, it turned out that the XBEL process is out of control. This is not good for open source fans, especially Linux. Sad end of the story.

Thanks again to everyone

@MochiMoppel

This also turns off the RAM buffer. IMO not a prudent general setting unless you have a good reason for it.

I don't understend, which command turns off the RAM buffer?

BTW I find " Disable GTK "recently used files on old Puppy forum

How to switch off "recently used" and about privacy [Partially solved]

Hi

I'm using BionicPup32 19.03 (+25 ISO version). I want to switch off data collectioning in "recently-used.xbel".
On other hand I'm very suprised, how many privacy information is collected in system, like "COMMAND-LINE HISTORY" - can I purge and disable it?

Thanks in advance
