I think you may also have to change the default to NO SAVE.
Otherwise after your 5 second delay it will automatically SAVE won't it?

I don´t think so.
If the enter key is not pressed within 5 sec., the session will not be saved (as the dialog says).

Re: Shutdown without saving: how to reduce the 60 sec.

@MochiMoppel ,
sorry, I didn't say I'm in pupmode 13. I usually make the changes at a start of the session and use save button to save them.
Anyway thanks for your reply.

@fredx181 ,
this is exactly what I wanted :thumbup: .
Thank you

Shutdown without saving: how to reduce the 60 sec. [SOLVED]

I use VanillaDpup64 9.2.6. and I never save session on shutdown. Till now I always pressed the tab key or the right arrow key to switch to NO SAVE and then confirmed with enter key. Unfortunatelly in some puppies the keys do nothing in this situation or they become active after some time. In this ca...

In general, I only save the settings of everything and additionally installed apps. I never save personal or other data into save. I always turn off the automatic saving and only save what I want. Usually at the beginning of a session I change what I want, save the changes and then the session conti...

By default, the JWM menu generator removes the %U at the end of the Exec= line. How did you start VLC? I started the VLC from the tray. But now I found that running VLC from the menu or terminal is without error message. Can you share your ~/.jwmrc? <?xml version="1.0"?> <JWM> <!-- versio...

I also use these pups. I usually do the backup of the savefolder with Utility->Pupsave Backup. Once the backup of the savefolder is created, I get a choice during boot what savefolder to boot into and there is also the choice "none" (which is the clean install). Or try the trick with "...

Duprate, I do it similarly. In most cases I do not use Savefile with the connected partition. Everything I boot is in that case a compressed .sfs file. Here on the forum I previously read that it would be the solution to do regularly md5sum of these files to verify that nothing was modified. However...

venn, I may be wrong... But whatever you want to be executable, it has to have permissions for it. I would check it by right clicking on the executable file -> choose "properties" and look if the three boxes "Exec" are ticked. If not, then tick them and click "refresh".

The use of computer resources is also not exactly low, but on my machine it seems to be a little better than a browser+YT.
