Re: EasyOS Kirkstone-series version 5.3

At first bootup, when MSCW, the Multiple Sound Card Wizard, pops up, did you select the appropriate interface, then click the "Test Sound" button? This sets the levels to 100% for both ALSA and pulseaudio, and plays test sounds. If you skip testing the sound, it might be muted or levels w...

Re: New AppImage Installer GUI app +Flatpak Installer

Since 'we' now seem to have the flatpak installer 'mostly working'. I wonder if it's time to consider adding the flatpak builder into the mix, with the caveat emptor of course on what is built. But at least if it's built under EasyOS it should theoretically work.

QT Version 5.15.9 ?faulty!

If anyone is thinking of updating to 5.15.9, I wouldn't at present, 5.15.8 seems to be ok. There are quite a few packages that are failing to build, or corrupting applications already built when run with this version. Most have stepped back. There are over 30 individual packages found affected so fa...

Re: EasyOS Kirkstone-series version 5.2.1

Easy 5.x is still using the 5.15.x Linux kernel. I'm wondering if that could be a factor. Toward the end of this year, or maybe early 2024, if WW3 hasn't started, I'm planning on buying a new laptop, so that will be good to test with Easy, and will probably then have to bump to a more recent kernel...

I've found gwaveedit, a port of it at https://github.com/wdlkmpx/gWaveEdit and it at least builds and run's on one of my older systems. I'll leave it to BarryK if he wants to try it on 5.2 as i'm working on something...

For EasyOS, this logo looks nice.
