Re: no actual Debian stable derivative

welpe, The debian puppies are very stable. The issue is that none of the dpups, including dpup stretch have actually been released as 'final' releases. The latest of the stretch release was RC 5, was unfortunately never announced as final. Any of the dpup releases by radky or josejp2424 are excellen...

There is a qemu SFS, which may be worth a look. You can find it Menu >Setup > Quickpet fossa. I have no knowledge of Qemu, so can provide no other information.

hi @TerryH in a terminal run sensors-detect just click through tapping enter for everything and at the end it will hopefully display the module that needs loading. on my dell latitude it's the coretemp module. you can then add this module in menu>>system>>bootmanager so it loads next boot. @666phil...

Just did a member search on the old forum, your userid shows shows 13 pages (187 posts), the oldest appears to be from 20 Sep 2013, regarding Chromium

Edit: seems my results differ from rockedge's. I used the link I used to access the old forum, to check posts.

Re: Fossapup64 9.0.5 RC3

New manual frugal install on internal SSD in Dell laptop (details in Signature). A couple of minor issues. The Temperature in gatotray is shown as a constant value of 25 C, which appears to be the value of /sys/devices/virtual/thermal_zone0/temp . Is there any way to change the reference point for t...

This is just my guess, but that wifi card utilizes the SDIO bus. I think it's a kernel related issue that it just isn't being identified. It is above me to advise how to proceed. Maybe post in the bionicpup32 thread and peebee or someone with kernel experience may assist. A couple of websites regard...

Re: How to use wifi and touch screen in Dell Latitude ST? (BionicPup32)

Doing a google search lead to it possibly being Atheros ARS263 (Atheros AR6003X-BC2B). There are a couple of folders in the fdrv for AR6003.

Check if any information is output in dmesg. In a terminal:

Code: Select all

dmesg | grep wifi

Are they actually mounted, or just visible as accessible. If they are mounted they will have a mounted indicator on the right hand side when viewed in caja.

Re: FATDOG 810 issues with sound and touch screen

What JakeSFR posted should work to set the correct sound card, it should create the file shown below. If it doesn't you can manually create a file /etc/asound.conf which should make the HD-Audio Generic the selected sound card. Contents of /etc/asound.conf: defaults.pcm.card 1 defaults.pcm.device 0 ...

Re: FATDOG 810 issue with GRUB2 utils

Installing for i386-pc platform. If you are attempting to install on an i386 32bit system, that would be the problem. Fatdog 810 is 64 bit OS, so won't install on that hardware. Please also note that this thread is not posted in the correct forum section, Fatdog has its own section within the forum.

Re: Removing desktop and tray icons, suspend option

To determine which icons are displayed use Menu > Desktop > JWMDesk > Icon Layout. There are controls for desktop icons and drive icons.

For the Save icon, the script which controls the Save icon on the desktop is /bin/plogin

This is not a comment regarding the puppy, rather a question is for Administrators. As this is clearly identified as a remaster, should it not be moved to the Puppy Derivatives > Re-masters Category. It will at least be the first entered.

Welcome to the forum. If not having a puppy or dog provided with Gnome 3 is a show stopper, then unfortunately you are out of luck. There a none. There are no puppies with apt provided natively either, puppies use PPM (Puppy Package Manager). I have provided a link to DpupBuster64 by josejp2424. Thi...
