Re: Is Thorium the fastest Browser in planet Earth?

Hm. Reading about it here:- https://thorium.rocks/optimizations .....it looks like the devs have decided to take the same route as that being discussed by Moonchild & company over at the Pale Moon forums; the requirement for AES/AVX CPU instructions. Which most certainly will speed up the browse...

I have nothing but praise for GXine...!

Evening, gang. As the primary Puppy on the old Dell Latitude I bought year before last, I run Xenialpup64. It's the best blend between being able to run modern browsers, etc, and being sufficiently lightweight to not bog the Core2Duo down too much. It really does run nicely on here. I have a huge li...

bigpup :- Unfortunately, with SeaMonkey, you're facing an uphill battle to try and start components individually. Research shows that while it's possible to fire it up showing E-mail, or Kompozer, because the whole suite is so tightly integrated together the browser will STILL be running in the bac...

Me, I have half-a-dozen "work areas" set-up on the big secondary data drive.....and then I have these sym-linked into /root (just for ease of access). This way, I can have several 'projects' on the go simultaneously.... I don't think it makes a scrap of difference where you do the actual c...

Jasper :- The way I learnt to do this LONG ago - especially where firing-up an app involves more than simply calling an executable! - is to create an appropriately-named script in /root/my-applications/bin which does whatever is required to get your app up-and-running. Your .desktop entry will then...

I wonder if it would be possible to write a bash script that collected a bunch of info (including distro_specs) and other stuff that would remove doubt about the puppy under test. Maybe including info such as creation date/time and size of main puppy sfs? Would be handy to ask newbies to click on t...

Small update - now @ v1.6.

Added options to "Saved files..." button; you can either view your saved images directly in Viewnior, OR open the CamShots directory with ROX so you can move, copy, delete, etc.....
