Re: portable packages made with CDE

@fredx181 @mikewalsh wow! It seems very promising! I'll make other packages with CDE. There are many apps I miss in modern puppies that I'm unable to compile with newer gcc due to source code incompatibilities

@mikewalsh
It is nothing of serious. I really love seamokey that is shipped with html editor and due to palemoon crazyness to drop support for extensions I think it will be my main browser in your portable variant

Re: Clear memory caches

This can be useful if you have a RAM challenged machine as it may prevent a system lock up. I remember using it on an older machine long time ago. Used to run it every hour or so when watching HD videos. Typically useful when running in RAM mode. https://oldforum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?p=3131...

Probably the i915 driver in the kernel. That thing was constantly being worked on in the series 4 kernels. Intel was all over the place with changes to that driver. The version in the 5 series kernels is stable and bug fixed. Until the next new Intel graphics hardware comes along and it needs updat...

@Dingo - you might like to try this cpu temp .pet : viewtopic.php?p=4697#p4697 (uninstall pmcputemp first).

As far as I remember pmcputemp is a built-in application, so package manager cannot uninstall. Should I manually remove from bin directories and from tray?

If everything else (besides the specific browser) displays correctly, it's probably a software (browser) problem. I don't use the browsers you do so can't assist further in that regard.
