ScPup64-2202. I'm using a laptop with external mic but the internal mic does not also work with chromium clones. My testing is about Signal-desktop messenger (electron based) but testing with online mic test pages chrome and chromium have the same problems.

I can't record with my mic in Chrome, Signal-desktop (Electron based) and Chromium using apulse. The mic works in Firefox using apulse. The mic works in Chrome-Chromium and electron based apps by only installing pulseaudio which breaks alsa apps. Is there a solution?

This one from 2018 is working for me. I do not remember where I found it. It probably was by @jamesbond in fatdog64.

I have a laptop which is not able to boot usb. No Bios setup for booting usb. I solved this problem with plopkexec. Read this thread:

The script closechroot fails if you do not add:

exit

at the end of the ironchroot script.

ScPup64 21.04: abiword aborted with it locale. I'm using en_US locale.

I have not read the thread but I have a tip to play youtube blocked videos in firefox. The video can be blocked because of ad-blocker or other reasons. Change the address of the video from www.youtube.com/xyz to nsfwyoutube.com/xyz .

ScPup64 21.04: what's wrong with pup-advert-blocker? It does not work for me. I have installed it from other puppies.

I did some experiments in several puppies installing gpg and sylpheed from the repository. Sylpheed from ubuntu and slackware repository has gpg support. I had no friends using encryption and so I abandoned my experiments.

Office suite cloud oriented Microsoft Office compatible. Summarily tested in bionicpup64. More testing needed.

I use everything without care: my focus is to get ready to use everything anyone else is using. I'm not an activist and I have not concerns.

I have a laptop with ancient eth0 which is not detected in any puppy without a script in /root/Startup like the following:

This works in Bionic64. I'll switch to Bionic64 with my current hardware.

It's a no go in Fossapup. The only success for me has been using Firefox: but the connection is bad. I'll try with Bionic64.

It does not work with my hardware. I'm able to use Zoom Meetings only in android devices and LineageOs 14.1 r4 on the pc.

Is anyone using Zoom in fossapup64 with success? The package in quickpet from bionic64 is outdated and the one from zoom site does not work for me. Using Zoom from browsers is not a workable alternative.
