Re: Imobiledevice6: how to extract images from iPhone with?
Thank you both. (Clarity and Step) We have outflanked the problem for now but I will not be able to get back to it four about a month. I will post again with what I finally did then.
In the meantime I will mark the thread "Solved"
cheers,
Ken

Re: How can I wipe a "Read only" flash drive?
In one of tosim's posts in this thread about 15 + hours back he reported on the failure of
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdb1 but he should have used "of=/dev/sdb"
cheers,

Re: How to boot EasyOS from USB stick with secure boot turned on?
Many thanks rcrsn51. It looks like I have a bit of reading to do but could achieve my objective using grub2. I had hoped that someone might have known how to enroll a MOK in Limine
I will post again when I have something to report but I am going away for a couple of weeks so it might be a while.

How to boot EasyOS from USB stick with secure boot turned on?
I have a USB stick with EasyOS 4.5.5 installed on it by "dding" the easy-4.5.5-amd64.img to it and it works well.
Is there an easy way to add some certificate and script etc. so that it could be used to boot a computer with secure boot turned on?

Re: A very rough and sloppy attempt at using Limine Installer with Fatdog64-812
Oops I forgot the limine.cfg which was the whole point of the post
I have had to rename the file to limine.txt to get it accepted.
You will have to change the uuid according to what you find for your stick.

Correct boot option pmedia entry for an nmve SSD?
What is the correct pmedia option when the "Hard Drive" is an nvme SSD. For a traditional spinning disk HD it would be pmedia=atahd. Is there a new entry for nvme SSDs /
TIA

Re: How to generate "Save RAM Layer" icon on desktop?
Many thanks, chiron, your post contained the solution. (in my case the savefile parameter uses uuid rather than device as my "Hard Drive" is an nvme SSD)
cheers,
