Just a side note - if your text in that mode is really small, make it super nice if running bookwormpup via apt with these two packages:
fonts-terminus
console-setup
run:
dpkg-reconfigure console-setup
For my usage, and especially because I like larger fonts at the cli, (and even in VT's) in the ...

Busybox as login ash shell
Just wondering - has anyone used busybox for their login/scripting shell instead of bash on Puppy?
I'm running BookwormPup64 and loving it, but also love busybox too. But unsure if I chsh permanently to busybox ash (or whatever is best) is going to break things, and I get to keep both pieces. Chsh ...

ChromeBox CN60 - bookwormpup64 10.0.8 works fine
Running Bookworm BookwormPup64 10.0.8 on two different versions of the circa 2015/16 Google Chromebox CN60 models. (One has the Intel I7) Everything works.

Re: Touchpad settings manager doesn't work
See if your Lenovo has a mouse setting in the bios. Years back I found a mouse: Windows and mouse: Normal option. THAT was blocking all my attempts to get it working fully properly until I changed it to normal. Just a back burner tip.

Re: Asus Zenbook 14X Touchpad and DPI issues in BookwormPup64_10.0.4
On one of my Asus laptops, had the same desire to tap, but couldn't. I found that in the bios setup, buried where I wasn't even looking for it, I found a setting for Mouse: Windows or Mouse: Normal.
I never would have thunk it, but changing it to normal resolved that issue. I was tearing my hair ...

Re: Wireless Networking: USB dongles sometimes 'get grumpy'
Oops - I posted a reply to this in a different thread. Have you tried using your wifi dongle on an older usb-2 port? I've had issues with them in usb-3 ports at times.

Re: Wifi Adapter -- Seeking Recommendations
One thing to try if you are having troubles is see if your dongle is using a usb3 or usb2 port. I've had to move troublesome dongles to the usb-2 port. Which is fine, because my wifi doesn't actually have the capability for usb-3 speeds.
So funny though - in those cases, I've moved the wifi to usb ...

Re: Saying thanks for Puppy
Definitely. The "way" makes a lot of sense for my single-user environment.
My biggest problem is forgetting my muscle-memory using sudo with the apt command! No need for that here.
Ah, so much to like and explore with savefiles vs folders etc. I've built about 5 different ways to boot so far. The ...

Re: Saying thanks for Puppy
I'm partial to all these little "mini-pc", like fanless, nuc's, back-of-set sticks - all mostly modern except they have the typical Atom cpu's from low-powered laptops from the last decade. Puppy is SMOKING on these little 1-4gb machines!

Saying thanks for Puppy
Just wanted to express my thanks for Puppy Linux! I had known about it, but never got around to trying it until Bookworm. Super pleased. Makes me want to try the others too as I'm a fan of usb booted systems.
