Re: Help with Lamine
Hi, I think this is what you tried to do and I summarized the needed steps to follow: 1. Guide to write EasyOS to a flash drive: https://easyos.org/install/how-to-write-easyos-to-a-flash-drive.html After having downloaded the EasyOS image-file, you wrote it to a USB Flash stick. 2. Guide to install ...

Re: Limine Installer PET version 1.3
Hello everyone, I have updated Limine Installer PET using its latest version, the one included in EasyOS Scarthgap version 6.3.1. Here is the reason: When I install EasyOS, I usually install Limine manually by copying the necessary bootloader files from the EasyOS image. The limine.cfg file included ...

Re: Need a browser to replace Palemoon
[...] Firefox can be made a little more spy-free with a few about:config changes, some of which appear to be shipped with Puppy, but I get the hesitance. Looking forward to see what you decide on. You can also keep Firefox and increase the privacy and security if you install Arkenfox user.js ...

Re: Language translation contributions invited
Very small updates of translations for JWM menu items.
For example, I corrected all occurences of 'Libreoffice' -> 'LibreOffice'
Other minor things were done for French.
2 small archives are attached.

Re: Language translation contributions invited
It's me again! This time I'm giving you something bigger (and perhaps more useful?) than JWM menu translations. At the first start of EasyOS and Chromium, you can see the local .htm homepage appearing. I saw and read all the home , welcome , and help pages translated into French, and found some ...

Re: Wish list for Scarthgap 6.3.2
Thanks all for your replies, In fact, if I could choose... I would just prefer YouTubeDL GUI or any alternative GUI to be removed  I already use the binary file since years and made the switch from YouTubeDL to yt-dlp in 2021 IIRC. And yes, Stogie is right: the commanline version is easier ...

Re: Wish list for Scarthgap 6.3.2
Here are my first wishes: 1. Set default volume to 50% (instead of 79%). 2. Correct the YAD window's hidden and unreachable bottom after setting up Redshift. Steps to reproduce the bug: - left-click on the backlight icon on the tray, - when you get the YAD window (which should be entirely visible ...

Re: Language translation contributions invited
Thanks Barry! Yes, translations are updated in EasyOS 6.3.1 with Russian updated last week. But I feel like all my modified translations were not in "newtranslations-fr-*.tar.gz" and that most of them seem to be in "translations-fr-*.tar.gz". The two "translations-fr-*.tar.gz" files are larger than ...
