Why not concentrate on getting one flagship version running
really well and looking good ? I have been here on BookwormPup64 longer
than on any other Linux distro but it gives trouble and is not good looking.

used to boot up after the failure of sdd1 and sdd2, which are the copy that will not boot.
For now I only need to get the Save files off of those, onto sdd1/sdd2, or ? copy them somewhere
so I can retrieve them ...

There is no Windows on this daily drive that crashed. Nothing but the usb with Puppy.
Prior to the crash I was zero filling an old usb with dd, ...after it finished the BW pup/OS that was ...

Starting back from scratch on an old win 10 machine.
Will take a while. No backups at all for anything.

Entered the address from mouse hover over the network tray icon
and entered in browser but got error msg - unable to connect '
Also used the ip address shown in PeasyPort but same result.
Edit: also used ' ip address ' command in terminal - same as the other 2

very badly. Wanted to see what is using our network and causing it. With
3 of us in the house the results of a scan shows ' 10 hosts up ' . Some of these
are Apple , Chongquing Electronics, Amazon- 2, Ubiquiti, Tibro,
and 4 'unknown ...

I see # in my terminal and most commands that I find online
start with $. When I use $ I get error msgs and i've learnt to just
exclude it and start with the default #.

The iPhone itself is not popping up the usual permission request screen, and ifuse is saying
'no device found' , and PupMTP says 'no device detected' so its a non connect at both ends.

apps recommended elsewhere for iphone problems: libimobiledevice and ifuse . No help.
This phone transfered photos to windows fine a month ago.
See screenshot from ifuse. A permission/authorisation problem.
I am not seeing the usual permission request screen ...

2 Options as you said - it was on Keep Originals, I changed to Automatic but
still not showing up. I think it may be because I'm not connected to the internet.
I despise Apple most of all. I'll look around.

I attached the phone with the cable and nothing showed up either
on Puppy or the phone, which by the way is very old and I have the
WiFi, and browser disconnected.
Normally in Windows (which I no longer have in the house)
the phone is recognised in Explorer as soon as ...

@mikewalsh I thought POP3 only downloaded the text files- had no idea that
it would import all the attachments as well. Will have to move to a bigger

Shame of all shames on me. I pulled the printer out of the dark
cupboard floor among the old shoes etc to look for the serial number
and found the USB cable connector was pushed (forced ) into the Network cable socket.
Its printing fine now.

Large usage of space. ! I'm getting warnings about running out of space.
Thunderbird seems to have pulled a lot of files from gmail onto
the 32G USB stick. Just be aware. I will try 'Inboxer' soon.
