I have 555 different tags in shotwell and I'd like to be able to shift click or control click to select several at once and drop them into a "nested hierarchy". I'm not sure what the correct terminology is.

How to I test if voltage is the problem?
Try to run dmesg and check if you see frequent errors about devices that don't respond, each followed by connection of the same device.

Re: Connecting my Samsung A20e Mobile Phone
I don't have a Samsung phone.
Some (usually older) phones have drives that can be mounted directly.
Such a phone would probably cause a mount icon to appear on the deaktop.
You would see a directly mountable drive listed if you typed in a terminal fdisk -l
Your phone probably uses mtp.
What ...

@LANdpLAN :-
Sounds to me as though what you need is "udev-rules". Jafadmin's wee mount-point utility worked brilliantly for me some years ago on the old Compaq Presario desktop rig, in the days before it eventually shuffled off its mortal coil.....

Re: BWPUP64 problems with disk mount locations sdx...
I use the UUID of the drive where the frugal Puppy OS is located. You can get this from the Partition--> Information menu in GParted.
For simplicity, I assign this to a variable in the Grub2 grub.conf file -
eg: MYUUID=1c48a2d8-bdbb-4cf5-a620-e43c95e51a05
Then I use the value of this variable in ...

Re: How to ensure rclone sync before shut down?
You can ensure rclone finishes syncing before shutdown by using a simple shutdown script. Create a script that runs rclone sync and only shuts down once syncing is complete.
1. Create the script:
Open a terminal and run:
echo -e "#!/bin/sh\nrclone sync /path/to/local/dir remote:backup ...

This is how to do installs for UEFI bios computers.
https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=11171
The needed boot loader is on the first partition and the Puppy frugal install is on the 2nd partition with an ext format.
There the save can be a save folder and does not need to be resized.
