Thank you guys/gals for the fast answers and great ideas and things to try to make it work. Finally I found what my issue was!! :) None of the above worked in the end, but they where good diagnostic tests. So the stanza's of @rockedge showed me that the usb wasn't being loaded by the kernel. I got ...
