I tried the cli method and it reduced a pdf from 6372K to 4900K.

I've just tried the Appimage for the GUI (a frontend for the Ghostscript method), and strangely it results in a larger file even on high compression.

The script method in the Startup folder does work, eg:

In the following, the first line is when it is ON and the second OFF:

I think it might be .xset.sh in root. It gets created after saving changes and clicking 'apply'.

Use Qsync from the Date and Time Setup. Find it either in the main menu under Setup, or click on the time in the taskbar.

If I select any of the entries (then press Install) in the 'Other' tab of Appi, it complains that no app was selected then aborts. Not found the same behaviour in the other categories.

It threw me initially, too. Actually quite simple. Right click on a file, move mouse pointer over the menu entry 'Rename', then press F2 - it should then appear in the menu next to it.

Is the wifi module not loaded, or is it missing firmware? The script can find loaded modules ok, but the list of firmware is 'hard coded', so some is likely to be missed.

Right click on the background in a rox window (not on a file).
Got to Menus, then you should see it. Once you click on Keyboard shortcuts, it will give you the instructions I posted previously.
Don't forget to click the 'eye' to see hidden files.

If you mean that you want to just copy the delta file to other installations (to avoid re-downloading), then yes, that will work. Some time ago, the 'update' didn't work, but I was able to download the delta directly, and take it from there.

Rox-filer does uses F2 to rename files. Press F2, it gives you a cross-hair to select the file with.
