Many thanks for your response, which I am working on.
The idea I have is to use the 64GB usb stick totally independently of any hard disk and still work in ram. Thereby I could confidentially plug in the usb stick into any machine and still have ample space for saving, as many people would be ...

Thank you for your reply but I only use Linux antiX. The 64GB usb stick is gobbled up by cd image which, as you may know makes the whole drive partitionless so whether it was gpt or mbr seems not to matter. Furthermore as it is not partitioned it is not possible to shrink or create an additional ...
