Re: Thunar file manager in JammyPup32, how can I make it see and mount external drives?
Do any of you know what Thunar needs to be able to actually view files on drives? With "pup-volume-monitor" it works ok for me on Jammy32 : Install pup-volume-monitor : https://github.com/doglinux/bullseye/raw/master/i386/pup-volume-monitor_0.1.15-3_i386.deb and dependency libudev0 : http...

Re: Is there an easy way to transfer files from PC A to PC B on the same network?
Yes. There is Warpinator which is a tool found in Linux Mint, and it works really well for me on my Linux Mint computers and my Android devices. https://warpinator.com/ https://github.com/linuxmint/warpinator https://flathub.org/apps/org.x.Warpinator However, I have no idea how I would get it to wor...

Thunar file manager in JammyPup32, how can I make it see and mount external drives?
Hello again. I user here suggested I use JammyPup32 for a project I am working on and I am thankful for that because I am liking it a lot so far. However, while the Rox file manager is fine I also wanted to include Thunar file manager because it has a bunch of extra features I want. However, an issu...

In a remaster, how do you keep icon and theme settings after making a new .ISO?
Basically I've gotten the hang of taking puppy linux and using the built in remastery tool to create a new .ISO, but the tool does not work on everything. It generally just makes a new .ISO with the programs and packages you installed and changed. It does not work with your theme and icon changes. B...

This is a really really cool remaster. I love seeing these puppys built for a specific purpose.

Installed Seamonkey on new remaster, all HTTPS connections broken now.
I really love Puppy and I've wanted to try to learn more about how I can customize it. So I've done a remaster of BionicPup32 8.0, it worked WAY better than the older version the last time I tried this. It worked really well for most things. One issue that has come up is that I wanted to change out ...

Re: How do I keep files and settings when creating a remastered .ISO?
No, I haven't used this other tool. I don't know anything about it. I made this thread asking what I was doing wrong with the built in tools.

Re: How do I kepe files and settings when creating a remastered .ISO?
That's the problem with 'Built-in' Remaster, and probably why the chatzilla plugin was gone. Using the built-in Remaster, by default the settings in /root's hidden files are not incorporated. You have to 'Left-Click rox's EYE --to show hidden files-- then copy them from /root/.config or other hidde...

Re: How do I keep files and settings when creating a remastered .ISO?
Okay, so thank you for all your responses. What I'm getting from here is that the Ventoy and Puppy don't mix in general. Which is fine, I can burn it to a CD. But is that what has to do with what I'm trying to figure out here? I was wondering if there was a way around the built remastery tool only w...

How do I keep files and settings when creating a remastered .ISO?
I like Puppy Linux and think it's pretty neat. I wanted to try using the built in remastering tool. It worked and made a bootable .ISO but the only changes it kept was the installed program, nothing else. Here is what I did: I downloaded the 32-bit XenialPup 7.5 .ISO file and put it on my ventoy dri...

This is a pretty cool idea. I have liked what I've seen of Slitaz.
