Ok, so it seems I'd have to make another pursuit to remaster Puppy, If you remember I've solicited you previously ;) https://www.forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=9593 As I have only two lessons using computer and linux I choose to just take my own laptop and my external BlueRay drive and use tho...

Re: Save folder not loaded from USB drive

Wiz57 I think you are right. However since I don't know how to configure X I'd not touch this. That's why I resorted to write my iso DVD to USB drive as it will work with my private computer. Interesting thing is that DVD with original iso (without any modifications) causes the same problem. I trie...

When you boot with the DVD install and made a save for it.

Did you choose to save to the DVD or make a save file/folder, located on some partition of the computers internal drive?

I've put the save on the DVD.

Save folder not loaded from USB drive

Hi, Background" I've created DVD with F96-CE4 and save folder (created during shutdown). I've successfully made iso image with K3B and burned several copies on DVD's and they work - all changes are preserved. Problem My DVD don't work on "teacher" PC in the classroom. More specificall...

Re: Running Puppy linux from DVD for classroom

Burn the CD/DVD using Pburn program in Puppy. It will give you the option to keep the CD/DVD open or close it, when doing the ISO image burn. ... Burning a copy of a CD/DVD is most likely going to make it exactly like the original. So closed or open depends on what the original was. In fact I've tr...

Re: Running Puppy linux from DVD for classroom

bigpup , you are right I mean making copies using master DVD. Might be better to save minimal customisations (keyboard, timezone, etc etc) to an sfs (via nicos suite) and customise it into the iso and burning closed dvd. Then forget about any session saving. It is worth trying. However I have some ...

Hi again, finally I've opportunity to try the new method posted by wizard Firstly, F96-CE_4 is indeed quite current and upgrading Firefox is automatic. @boczniak767 : If u are interested about using a PuppyDistro for classroom, I recomend you to use F96CE_XFCE_FUSILLI. wizard I've checked your method. It is in fact faster and more user-friendly. Two remarks: As I don't have /mnt/home/puppylivecdbuild I have to create it. Running Puppy linux from DVD for classroom

Hi, I was looking for fast liveDVD linux for my classes. I can see that Puppy is really fast and I will hapilly use it but I have two concerns: 1. I've tried some Puppy flavours (Void, Fossa, Jammy) and I see that none of them prompts to remove media (DVD) before shutdown/reboot. How can I fix it. I...
