Nah, don't give up that quick. Looks like 2 things happened at the same time:-

Seamonkey picked that moment to update.....and it looks like with the new build, they've also upgraded their build environment to one with a newer glibc. I'll investigate, but I think we can fix this ...

I have a very new computer that will not boot 32 bit operating systems. Must be 64 bit.


That's most likely to do with the UEFI/boot-loader stuff. It may even be summat to do with the CPU microcode updates, deliberately disabling internal features.......but I've never yet heard of an x86_64 ...

The 64-bit SSE2 portable build is courtesy of Nuck-TH of the Pale Moon community.

This is why I usually make my AppImage names as short as possible, Steve.....AND remove the '.AppImage' extension completely. If that was me, I'd rename that to just "gSender64". If it's going to run, it'll run......trust me!

Lovely piece of work, Fred, as always. We eventually figured out a way to get my webcam showing as an audio input; the ridiculous thing was that we had to first send the arecord -l output to a /tmp file, THEN read it into the command. Piping the output direct, it simply didn't "see" it ...

Yup. +1 on the GTK3 stuff.....and Jasper's info probably doesn't help, either. Most of my "kennels" are around the glibc 2.28-2.31 range.

For myself, I doubt I shall bother upgrading. The v2.10.25 AppImage (from HERE ) does everything I could possibly want from it, so I'll be sticking with that for ...

Small change to the portable WINE.

From WINE 10.0 onwards, these will now be packed as a ROX-app. Simply click on the portable directory, and you now get a wee GUI that asks if you wish to 'Link' to or 'Unlink' WINE from your Puppy.
