Re: Avidemux .pets and executables

Is there a 32 bit version for bionicpuppy? I'm trying this pets and sfs but not lucky enough to run it :?: lazycat :- If you don't mind a somewhat older version, here's an "all-in-one" version of Avidemux 2.5.2 - self-contained with everything required to run. It was put together, some time ago, by ...

Mike3 Your wording is a bit hard to get? Who are you calling "hobby developers"? FYI, oui is from the French/German border area. English is something like his 3rd (or 4th) language, and I believe he makes liberal use of Google Translate. We're all used to how he communicates by now, but it does ...

Hallo, maoo. And https://i.postimg.cc/N049cvKX/welcome.gif to the "kennels". I'll echo taersh; there's plenty of other, "easy" ways to install software in Puppy apart from Snaps (which are a Canonical 'special', anyway). And agree with t'other Mike; unless you have a pressing need for a 32-bit ...

It seems I posted the wrong title; fixed it. But while I don't mind hearing your opinion, it gives me the feeling that PL is the Toki Pona of Linux distros- keeping everything simple. I was just hoping if old computers are in the community's long-term interests, and I certainly got the answer ...

The slot's a bit too deep for CardBus, which had slimmer measurements.... Well, research shows that USB 3.0 is more ...

mistfire :- Rebuild older puppy to boot on UEFI? There is some changes to be made. 1. Xvesa and Xorg vesa drivers won't work on UEFI because of BIOS 10H interrupt doesn't exist on UEFI. You must force to run Xorg using fbdev driver. 2. Its puppy installer and old grub don't ever work for internal ...

Hi, Greg. Now; when you say "Express card slot", what are you actually referring to? Are you talking about a bigger version of an SD card slot.....an external slot you can plug a card into? Or are you talking about an internal slot, usually accessed from behind a 'door' or cover..? The latter are ...

Mike3 :- If you want to, you can do as a number of us do, and run 'portable' versions of a lot of browsers, instead. It's an easy way to keep 'em completely self-contained, and you can move 'em, and run 'em, from anywhere you like ( outside of the save-file/folder. naturally!) I've just upgraded ...

Pale Moon 'portable' browsers - 32- & 64-bit

Afternoon, gang. To keep this thread up-to-date, potential users need to be aware that Pale Moon, like so many open-source projects, has now dropped 32-bit builds and officially gone 64-bit only. There are, however, a handful of "approved" 3rd-party 32-bit builds which are endorsed by the head of ...

@ swhnk-puppy:-

The very fact that even Windows won't boot unless the Mint HDD is plugged-in suggests to me that boot priority has somehow become transferred to whatever boot-loader you have on the Mint hard drive.....

I could of course be wrong.

@ Nightknight2:- Right. Sounds like you're not a fan of drag'n'drop! What you need is one of the more traditional file mangers. You're in the 'buntu Puppy 'tree', so something like Lubuntu's PCManFM file manager, or Xubuntu's Thunar , should be available for install via your PPM. If you want to ...
