It works on a wireless Dell laptop with Linux mint Sylvia (2017), cant remember if I had to do anything special to get that to work as it was a few years ago.

Ok, so the firewall was the problem, I turned it off. Printer shows up as installed ok now in CUPS, but all it does is pull the paper through without printing anything. Restarted everything and still same problem. It does the same if I send a test page from CUPS - it just spews paper out continually...

Any idea when the next Ubuntu-based 64-bit Puppy is planned for ? I see that fossaPup64 is about two and a half years old since release .... In Windows this two and a half years would mean alot .... Does it mean much within the Linux field of play?

Could I just switch the power off for an immediate shutdown? I wouldn't want to do this very often and usually want it left as now to save on shutdown.
