Re: how to properly exit bash?

Yes, ctrl-c and d work to manually close the terminal, but what I'm trying to figure out is the way to do it in a script.

Xdotool is able to send such commands within a script file.

Different forum themes have different Puppy Logos

Hi.

I discovered that there's different Puppy Logos shown on different forum themes.
E.g.: theme Prosilver Dark uses the old logo from murga forum (at least similar to that).

Is it intended to be that way?

If we can't peaceful/respectful act on the forum,
how could we expect to live together in peace on the planet.

So, developing programs doesn't always make fans/friends,
but also returns trouble/envy.

Not a good convincing start to get active at any forum etc.

Wasn't he (amethyst) previously active on the forum?
Wasn't he registered as nic or nicos or similar?
Wasn't he banned/removed at these days already?

I'm not sure, just asking...

What new computer should I buy?

Hi.

I'm thinking of buying another computer. Either a new one or used but almost up to date.
So, what's the best CPU to be used for doing music -

Intel or AMD ???

I have one AMD computer with a six core CPU and another Intel Computer with four core CPU.
Both of them producing XRuns - but the ...

In Germany, AI is already being used in supermarket parking lots to monitor parking time and other things. Commercial companies then send out fine notices. Beautiful new world!

Oh, das Programm kenne ich gar nicht.
Muß was neues sein.
Aber gut, das es gelöst ist.

Re: Simple SFS Builder

@jp734

This is somehow irritating.

Are the DOTS included in the original file?
Could you please attach the original .desktop file?
Rename it - to do so, just put a fake .gz after the .desktop of its name to attach it.

Thanks.

Can you post/attach the .desktop file of LibreOffice here?
Then I will have a look at it and provide an update when solved.

Thanks.

Slacko puppy is Crap!

If you want to use a smart Puppy, try one of the Ubuntu or Debian based Puppies.
I'm using Bionic Puppy 64bit for around 5 years now.
Everything is working fine.
All I want to do, Ican do with that Puppy.
Package Manager works fine and updates fine, if needed.

Re: Should I get a new Monitor ?

I don't have a monitor for around 16 months now.
I'm using a 32 Inch Caixun HD TV and HDMI connection.
Unfortunately it supports only 1360x768 @60hz.
Though, I'm sitting around 2 meters away from the TV,
so 1920x1080 would make me trouble to see anything with my poor eye light.

So, I'm fine and ...

Re: How to upload videos to Google Drive from Bionic Puppy? (Solved)

Yes, the computer doesn't see the smartphone.
It is connected to the computer via its USB-C cable.

On the old phone a popup-window gave me option to choose to charge battery only or to transfer also files.
Nothing happens on the new phone. Even PupMTP doesn't find it.

However, when I was booting ...

How to upload videos to Google Drive from Bionic Puppy? (Solved)

But when using Bionic Puppy 64bit I can't find it in my google drive account.

As far as I know, all boot loaders give option-key, to edit the selected boot menu entry.
I'm still using Grub4Dos and there it's the 'e' command for 'edit'.
Of course one can't store the changes back...

I have in use the original FossaPup 64bit plus also the FossaPup 64bit CE in latest version.
