I tried this. I renamed the drive_drives file but after restart X, it is rewritten and back named drive_drives, and the icon is back on the desktop.

Also if I uncheck the boxes on the event manager, then I'm unable to mount or unmount the partitions.

remove drive icons from desktop?

I, just by preference, want to remove the drives icons from my desktop. I run 4 partitions and I like to mount and unmount them from time to time, and I can do that within /mnt, as long as in Puppy Event Manager I have the "Show Desktop Icons for each PARTITION" box checked.

If its unchecked then ...

So I ran into the same problem and used the .pet file posted here and it works just fine. It gives a redshift option in menu that loads and works well.

I'm working on getting it to run at boot. At first I ran startup apps manager and added redshift to enabled apps. That didn't work..

(SOLVED) modprobe coretemp on boot

So I'm running Dpup on a 2009 macbook pro 5,5 and so far I'm loving it, once I figured out the dreaded b43 firmware issues for the wifi..

I've configured conky to show all the sensor temp outputs, ACPI, PCI, CPU core 1&2. The issue is I have to run modprobe coretemp to get it to read the core temps ...
