@jamesbond
That's a little depressing as I have some fairly large micro-sd cards (256gb) which have come out of old phones as I have replaced them.
Guess, I can find use for them in something else.

Re: Calibre Is Not Viewing Books
@JusGellin
Glad you have it working at last.
If you use the --no-sandbox option, you will be running as root and therefore be able to install the plugins.
Remove the option and run the application as 'Spot'.
Hopefully that will work, goodluck

Nautilus File Manager is for the Gnome desktop.
As I have been told previously here on the forum, Fossapup64 ≠ Ubuntu Focal Fossa

@JusGellin
You can try in terminal:
run-as-spot calibre
or if you have an existing .desktop entry, edit/add the following to it:
Exec=calibre --no-sandbox

I agree with you, I seldom use the application myself but do have installed for 'occasional' use.
As always, great app

Re: Whats up in Puppy World
instant recovery if one makes a mistake
I know that it is sensible to always have a recovery plan .... just in case of those days when it decides to go wrong!!
A scheduled backup option would be useful especially at the beginning when you are experimenting and trying out new applications.

@gyrog
Is it possible to change the partition types that are created by Stickpup?
As modern Usb storage devices use exFAT, could this be used instead of FAT32?
This I would hope would allow 'Pupsave files' to be created beyond their current 4gb limit.

Re: Distributed Computing on LAN
@p310don
Do you have a dedicated graphics card that could offload the video encoding?
This would take the pressure off from your cpu.
Also, it will depend on the codec that you are using.

Re: The December Linux Pro Magazine "Puppy" article.....available for download
If everyone agrees that this is a good and positive article on Puppy Linux.
Could it be included in the Wikipedia entry under the section 'Reception' ?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puppy_Linux
It could also include that their DVD offering did include the OS too.

Re: Unable to copy/paste in Fossapup terminal
Using a two button mouse with a wheel to copy and paste into terminal ie URXVT
Copy the text from 'Left to Right' and then in terminal click the wheel button.
This works for me in Fossapup64 and JammyPup.

@mikewalsh
Thanks for sharing this
I did make a post earlier on the forum to see if it was possible to include this option when using 'Stickpup Usb Installer'.
This would be beneficial to users as you have realised it overcomes the 4GB limit.

Re: Installing and setting up Dropbox
I would use a Linux VPS hosting service and install Nextcloud.
You can install/use Nextcloud applications eg Only Office for general tasks and potentially use Tables for your database requirements.

Each offering of Puppy may use a different Glibc.
https://abi-laboratory.pro/?view=timeline&l=glibc
So, it helps to point out to members which OS you compiled/built your application.
