Re: fta dtv capture stick or card

If you are buying a Capture stick/card .............. I am guessing that it should have it's own application that should be able to do this for contained within.

You could try MythTV:

@Pikaxhu

Congratulations on your success!! :thumbup2:

Can you let me know the following?

Do you need a lot of storage space for compiling?
CPU intensive?
RAM intensive?
Time taken?
Internet connection needed? eg downloading packages

Thanks

Re: fta dtv capture stick or card

Hi Boof Would it be possible for you to view the 4k streams on your PC? What you really need is the URL for the content. If so, you could try using MPV which is included in Fossapup64. If you haven't done so before you can update it using Menu - Setup - Quickpet fossa. Open up terminal and type in t...

Re: How to install NzbHyra2 meta search engine?

Thank you again for showing me the steps that I need to execute the application.

Once the Java SFS file is loaded and I type in "which java", it fails to give me a response.

I followed the additional steps, but no joy.

Not to worry.

Take care and have a great weekend ahead

Re: does bluetooth work in fossapup64-9.5.1?

I have tried to use the JankyBT application.

Managed it to pair it with my Bluetooth speakers, whoever I never heard a sound.

Didn't try it with my headphones either.

I might have simply needed to return back to the soundcard wizard and select the Bluetooth speaker as the output device.

Thanks for your reply, missed this!!

I have followed your suggestion and loaded up the Java SFS file.

Unfortunately, I still get an error. Is there anywhere I can get an older version?

Hi all I compiled this application in FossaPup64. I do hope it will work in other builds as well. To open the application, you will find it in /usr/bin Open it in terminal within /usr/bin and the GUI will appear. Add your server account details and that should create the Configuration file for use. ...

NZBCheck - Article check for NZB's using NNTP Stat command

Hi all I compiled this application as I needed to check my NZB's to see if they were available on my news server. It is limited in it's capability in the sense that it only checks to see if the Articles are available , there is no CRC check => some of them might be corrupted. I compiled this in Foss...

Do I simply need to download it via Synaptic once I have setup my wifi, language etc?

If so, then I will definitely try again.

I liked the "cleanliness" of your build.

Great work and thanks for sharing!

Hiya

What is it specifically that you would want from an update?

Hardware drivers?
Software updates?
Security and stability updates?
New functionality?
Performance?

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) was officially released on April 2020. Security patches and updates available until 2025.

@houndstooth

I set the soundcard as HDMI 1 as I am using my monitor's speakers via the Soundcard Wizard.

For the 2nd Soundcard wizard, that is just left as the default setting.

I unticked the additional boxes to ensure that it was only 1 output.

I had to untick the analog box (IEC958 - audio ports on the back of the PC) and then select the HDMI port to ensure that I was getting audio playback through my monitor speakers.
