If you are buying a Capture stick/card .............. I am guessing that it should have it's own application that should be able to do this for contained within.
You could try MythTV:

@Pikaxhu
Congratulations on your success!!
Can you let me know the following?
Do you need a lot of storage space for compiling?
CPU intensive?
RAM intensive?
Time taken?
Internet connection needed? eg downloading packages
Thanks
Thank you again for showing me the steps that I need to execute the application.
Once the Java SFS file is loaded and I type in "which java", it fails to give me a response.
I followed the additional steps, but no joy.
Not to worry.
Take care and have a great weekend ahead
I have tried to use the JankyBT application.
Managed it to pair it with my Bluetooth speakers, whoever I never heard a sound.
Didn't try it with my headphones either.
I might have simply needed to return back to the soundcard wizard and select the Bluetooth speaker as the output device.
Thanks for coming back to me.
I am still unsure as to what I need to do.
Hopefully this screenshots give you more information.
Hiya
Thanks for your reply, missed this!!
I have followed your suggestion and loaded up the Java SFS file.
Unfortunately, I still get an error. Is there anywhere I can get an older version?
Sample configuration file attached.
Once downloaded, remove the "txt" extension.
The file should be ngPost.conf
Thank you for that tip!
Do I simply need to download it via Synaptic once I have setup my wifi, language etc?
If so, then I will definitely try again.
I liked the "cleanliness" of your build.
Great work and thanks for sharing!
Apologies for my late reply.
Once again thank you for taking the time to explain this to me, it is appreciated
Congratulations on your achievements already
I was wondering if your updated kernel could be substituted for my existing one to bring it up to date with the fixes?
Would I right in thinking that the underlined files simply would need to be replaced with your ones?
Hiya
What is it specifically that you would want from an update?
Hardware drivers?
Software updates?
Security and stability updates?
New functionality?
Performance?
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) was officially released on April 2020. Security patches and updates available until 2025.
I set the soundcard as HDMI 1 as I am using my monitor's speakers via the Soundcard Wizard.
For the 2nd Soundcard wizard, that is just left as the default setting.
I unticked the additional boxes to ensure that it was only 1 output.
Hi Plinej
Thanks for replying.
I am still receiving an error message even using another method.
Same error with the browser too.
Houndstooth
I had to untick the analog box (IEC958 - audio ports on the back of the PC) and then select the HDMI port to ensure that I was getting audio playback through my monitor speakers.
Thank you your suggestion worked perfectly.
Hi Plinej
Thanks for sharing
I am encountering a problem with accessing the file via the Palemoon browser
Are you using speakers via HDMI?
Hi there
Can someone let me know if it is possible to install this application if Java is installed?
