Re: Running processes

Hi there

You can type into terminal

htop

and that will give you a dialog box full of information.

It is also available in your SYSTEM submenu.

Re: Is the Pupsave file dynamic? [SOLVED]

mikewalsh LOL, you have a lot to play around with :thumbup2: I only came to Puppy Linux as I wanted a small OS that had a newsgroup reader. Using Windows my bandwidth was throttled. Also, I need to be able to use the maximum amount of RAM available to me as it is being cached during it's operations ...

Re: Is the Pupsave file dynamic?

Thank you again for the pointers.

I recall that when I boot up e2fsck (?) is displayed onscreen.

I guess if I copy and move my PupSave file to another location whilst using it, I could check it using this utility (?)

**EDIT**

It worked

Re: 6.0.13 64bit kernel aufs/overlayfs

ozsouth Thank you for such a quick reply and explanation. I had read the threads regarding browsers. It sounds like a pain, which has made me a little hesitant. I will give it try and fingers crossed everything will work. The last build 6.06 was perfect for me  **EDIT** I can confirm that ...

Thank you again for clearing this up for me  I think I know what might be causing the errors. As I am aware that I limited space indicated. Re: Is the Pupsave file dynamic?

williwaw Yes, removed a MPV binary that was 35mb to an updated one that is only 3mb. amethyst What I have realised painfully that when I compile applications and simply overwrite the existing ones that is not recorded in the PPM. So I cannot uninstall them via this method. So, from now I will have ...

Re: Is the Pupsave file dynamic?

Okay, got that and it is easily remedied.

Why I have flagged it up was that I have removed a number of applications thereby providing me with freed up space but this is not reflected and remains the same ie 4mb left to use.

I would like to "second" the request for TLDR to be included in a future build. It is helpful and can be used offline too.
Or an alternative if someone could make a suggestion?

Is the Pupsave file dynamic? [SOLVED]

Hi all Hopefully this is something easy to answer. I have noticed that my memory applet informs me that I have only 4mb available to me and constantly flickers as a reminder. So, I thought I would offload some applications to increase the space. I then save my session and reboot. It still complains ...

Re: Possible error with mounting devices?

Hang on, I think it's me wishing for an additional drive to be labelled.

I tried it again and when the MTP device (phone) is connected, no HDD icon is displayed. Which is the normal behaviour.

To view the contents I have to use OPEN to view the contents.

@April

I did try the PB magnet link and it works fine for me as shown in the screenshot.

Also, tried a torrent link and that worked fine too.

My firewall has been turned off.

If you are uncomfortable using the link as you feel it has been altered, just do not use it.

April I do not use EasyOS, so am unfamiliar with how it is setup. I think asking directly in their forum might elicit more assistance. Have you tried to add the torrent file via the tray icon? Finally uGet uses Aria2c as the downloader. You could try to do it via a terminal window, for example ...
