Re: Problem with AC/DC adaptors - a question for electricians

I suggest starting out with the 78xx and 79xx 3-terminal voltage regulators. You'll be making a regulated power supply and learning while you do it. These regulators have been available since the '70s so they are cheap and there's tons of information about how to use them. Start by reading the fine...

Global IP TV does not work.

QV has Version 2023 Mk7 installed, which does work in my install. Some of the channels don't play, but this would be due to the application rather than QV.

Just update youtube-dl for you to get all the channels. ;)

bugnaw333,
I checked, there is /usr/bin/python3.12, and /usr/bin/python3 a symlink to it.
I'll fix that, thanks for reporting the bug.
You can fix it now, just make a copy of the python3 symlink, name it "python".

Thanks Barry :thumbup2:

I am a Windows user before since Win 95 until Windows 10 then tried different puppies like Xenial, Bionic, Fossa on multi-boot environment and Fatdog on USB stick. @ankurjoshi_807
For sound not working:

The middle-mouse-click on the audio tray icon to unmute, then left-click to bring up the volume.

There have been reports with kirkstone, that this works, and MSCW just messes things up

(in which case MSCW needs some TLC)

Re: HP CEO says they brick printers that use non -HP ink because of hackers

I love HP deskjetjet (Tabloid size)printers in the 90s and they are workhorses! Ink cartridges are cheap and I can refill (cheaper inks) them manually. Their printers would last almost 3 years for 12hrs daily printing. Before, their philosophy is robust and high cost reliable printer and cheaper ink...

NO sound--always muted even number of times re-configuring and rebooted. Also, the background dialogue box is erased (previously covered) by the alsamixerbox when moving the config box or the SCWizard box. :( Only these two boxes collide each other. Other dialogue boxes are OK. Best regards, Reynaldo
