Re: How to update glibc in S15pup64?

peebee (via PM) answered one part of the question: Slackware sticks with the same glibc for the lifetime of a release. So Slackware-15.0 will always be glibc-2.33 He also said 15.1 has support for glibc 2.40 So one way is to wait for a new release of S15pup64 that may have it. Another way, that I ...

How to update glibc in S15pup64?

Hello All! I have been running S15pup64 22.12 Build 240612 with great success. One of the programs I use (Qucs-S version 24.2.0) works great on Build 240612, but Qucs-S recently issued an upgrade (improved simulator, device models, etc) now called Qucs-S 24.3.0. This meant that in upgrading from Qt ...

Re: Wine for Slacko 7.0 64bit??

mikewalsh , While I haven't had any luck with the 4.21, 5.11 or 9.3 Wine AppImages on Slacko7.0-64 , the 9.3 version works nicely on S15pup64 (22.12). On this OS, the install went with no problems. Should some older Windows executables not work on S15pup64, I can still run them on Slacko 6.3.2 ...

Re: Wine for Slacko 7.0 64bit??

mikewalsh - Thanks for the incredibly fast reply! My requirements are fortunately "not newest, most bang-up-to-date", they all run in the 32bit world under wine 1.5.15 Like: Qucsstudio 4.3.1 Antenna Modeling: 4nec2 old MPLAB 8.46 old MPASM for windows and a bunch of other older, but useful stuff. No ...

Wine for Slacko 7.0 64bit??

Hello, Can anyone recommend a Wine version that works well with Puppy Slacko64-7.0 ? I tried using Mike Walsh's Appimage https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?p=119783&hilit=appimage+wine#p119783 , but it requires glibc 2.30 and Puppy Slacko64-7.0 only has glibc 2.23. If not that, where to find ...

Re: S15Pup64 from USB flash: how to enlarge Save file?

The results so far: S15pup64 22.12 (1) USB Flash that does produce a proper s15pup64save-******.2fs save file, which can be enlarged as desired. But (2) USB Flash Drives that only save it as a tar.gz (S15pup64save66.tar.gz) , which does not allow for expansion as far as I know. Very weird. I used ...

Re: S15Pup64 from USB flash: how to enlarge Save file?

Wow 😄. This is great information, so I will go through it carefully.
I did get a different Flash drive to work perfectly, so that is looking good. I will go over your info and see if I can get the original flash to work the same.
Thanks---WN2A

hplip for Slacko 6.3.2 (32bit)

Hello, Does anyone know of a .pet or ,sfs that might be available for hplip 3.20.5 or higher?? I need to run it on Slacko 6.3.2 (32 bit) to allow an HP4155e All-In-One to Scan with Xsane. Slacko 6.3.2 with hpcups 3.13.10 (en) does support this printer for the print function, but of course, not ...
