Re: No network when installing alongside Windows 8.1
What happens if you leave the adapter UNplugged until after Fatdog has started? Still not detected. On Windows I think I did forced it to release my dongle by choosing to Safety Eject the device. On Fatdog after the system fully booted (no network) I inserted the dongle to see if it got detected ...

Re: No network when installing alongside Windows 8.1
Update: sorry everyone, it's a https://www.tp-link.com/vn/support/download/tl-wn722n/v3/ Somehow I messed up with my browsing history and looked at the wrong link (I should detected this because the dongle in the image of 725n looks nothing like my dongle, my dongle has a full antenna. This is my ...

Re: No network when installing alongside Windows 8.1
A possible issue might be lack of network driver and/or lack of device firmware. https://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/web/faqs/firmware.html gives you some things to check for, especially the third paragraph from the top. My network card is TP-LINK TL-WN725N V3 (a USB dongle). I think it doesn't need ...

No network when installing alongside Windows 8.1
Windows 8.1 has network working. I used Lick to install Fatdog64 to the Windows partition. Fatdog64 doesn't have network. It doesn't detect my network card. But I know for sure my network card was supported by Linux. Before installed Windows on this PC, it's used to run MX Linux. Today I tried Q4OS ...

Re: Replace SeaMonkey 2.49.5?
Pale Moon people is also spreading wrong information regarding Waterfox Classic project (and SeaMonkey project too). The points they want to make is they are much better and they have the kindness to offer to co-operate but the Waterfox Classic guys refused them. Yeah, I think the Waterfox Classic ...

Re: Replace SeaMonkey 2.49.5?
The Pale Moon guys are very good when badmouthing about Mozilla and Firefox. I have another view than them regarding why the keyword Pale Moon was moderated on this subreddit. Why don't they ever think that it's Pale Moon supporters spammed the subreddit to the extent the mod has to set to auto ...

Re: Replace SeaMonkey 2.49.5?
Now I changed my mind everyone. Don't ever include that sh*t called Pale Moon. I got banned from their forum only because I told them SeaMonkey is going to abandon XUL in future version (this is a fact!). I give them the source is the SeaMonkey status meeting and I told them to download SeaMonkey 2 ...

Re: Beyond Python 3.6.5?
Using an alternative version of Python is not the answer for long term. We are pretty much stuck with the old Python and we need to update it. Our base system is too old. This is the real problem.

Re: Replace SeaMonkey 2.49.5?
About Pale Moon you could use their official Linux binary and don't have to build your own version. We chose not to because of redistribution constraints: https://www.palemoon.org/redist.shtml. You could ask them. Write them an email or register on their forum and post a thread: https://forum ...

Replace SeaMonkey 2.49.5?
It could be later version of SeaMonkey (currently 2.53.12) or even Pale Moon? About Pale Moon you could use their official Linux binary and don't have to build your own version. SeaMonkey 2.49.5 is outdated and has many security issues not fixed. Web compatibility is also poor even though there is ...
