Re: MikeWalsh’s WineAppImage Framework

Most tax software have web versions as well. Turbotax definitely does as does TaxAct. Some people prefer local storage and that's very understandable, but on the end if you e-file, you're sending over the internet anyway.

Thanks. I may took a look. I'm not a fan of dark themes. I was hoping not to have to download a large package just to get this to work.

How to change colors of Application Menus?

I tried searching the forum for this but the search results weren't too helpful for me. In any case: I'm using fossapup64 9.5 I'm trying to change the colors used for application menus (not the desktop menu - which I found). The menus are white text on a dark gray or black background). I tried JWM ...

Re: In Java, how can I replicate an object?

Most objects have a clone method. That will create a copy instead ig copying the reference. The problem is, a lot depends on how clone is implemented. Some clones are shallow and some are deep. What that means is if the object contains other objects, those object may be copied by reference (shallow ...

Re: Which Wine to run 32-bit Windows programs in a 64-bit Puppy?

I have a lot of 32-bit Windows programs which all run with a relatively old Wine version (none of the programs are huge and sophisticated). I want to know which option will be best to run this in a 64-bit Puppy. The smaller the better. This is one of the things that puts me off using 64-bit Puppy ...

Re: Java equals() selection

Yes you can write constant.equals(variable). As to whether or not you should, that's a question that has people on both sides and you will get approvals and criticisms from both. The benefit: You don't have to test for null. Code will work as expected (the variable is not equal to the constant) The ...

I don't use any of the products (I'm still a VIM guy) but you do have another choice VS Codium. Re: Original killer PC spreadsheet Lotus 1-2-3 now runs on Linux natively

@vtpup Their reasoning for the 8088 was that they wanted 16-bit processing, but they knew most peripherals at that time were 8-bit. So they used the 8088 for this reason. They thought if they made it easier to get peripherals, they would sell more. And they still had the 16-bit internally.

I don't use conditional formatting that much. I know it supports it, but to the level you need, no clue. I have a basic white vs grey background depending on if a certain cell in the row is odd or even.

I haven't used pypaystack, but looking at the error, you're missing the requests module. Did you pip install requests - especially if you're using a virtual environment.
