Re: Invitation to translators

@Berto

It would be good if you do the translation update of the few german files and upload it here so i can apply the changes.
I will do the management of the language pack for the german and other languages then.
Thank you very much for your help support!

Re: i can't boot into Live usb, straight to grub.

It may be that you try to boot a puppy image that is mean to be booted only using a CD-ROM and not a usb drive. If you can try to burn the puppy on a cd rom and boot it that way it will work for sure. If you don't have a cd rom try to alter the puppy image to be a hybrid iso, with this tools here ...

This procedure assumes you are doing it in a running Linux OS that has Grub to use.

Most Puppy Linux OS's do not.

Yes that is true.
I have done the flashing of the usb drive on a ubunu machine.

Re: Why will a iso burned to a CD boot but a iso burned to a USB drive will not?

I do think it is related to the "El-Torito" standard for creating bootable optical media. The hardware of a computer handles the booting from a optical media different form a usb or hard drive media. Becouse of this El-Torito standard burning a image to a hard drive or a usb drive fails to create a ...
