Re: New AppImage Installer GUI app +Flatpak Installer

Good day everyone, I don't know what problems many of you have with writing .iso or .img files to usb. Most times I download distros with CP, then just copy to laptop and write with EasyDD. Even EasyDD is not necessary, years ago I simply copied the images to usb. Worked also most times, just someti...

@pp4mnklinux I don't mean a taken picture, but the video/actual screen .... how do you define that? A video is composed of many pics too and recorded, So to simplify, that everyone understands: That what the other communication partner sees! Hmp. turning around saved pics everyone can do and I'm usi...

qemu-6.2.0-r5 and Chromium failures

Hi, qemu-6.2.0-r5 doesn't work (see screenshot): libvirglrenderer.png Chromium: on EasyOS 4.5.5 (desktop, not container) is working, but many times crashes, is suddenly gone. But no need to panic, updated Chrome on my CP (Xiaomi) crashes many times too, I think that's a Google problem, but didn`t re...

Hi BarryK , thank you much for the bookworm SFS. I've tried it, and it's working fine. What is not (yet) available are other repos than the main repo, but normally I don't need these anyway. What would be nice to have would be the package "motion" for detecting motion from webcams, record ...

BarryK maybe flathub needs the time settings for user statistics. I get a message "Your system time is wrong! This site cannot be reached." in Chrome very often, coz my system time is always wrong at startup - dunno why 😂. If I set the hardware clock to local, and "hardware to match ...

Re: KDE Dolphin and Okular

Hi,

you could download KDE applications from here, and try to install on EasyOS.

https://www.trinitydesktop.org/applicat ... #utilities

I only guess that there are less dependencies than in the KDE Plasma version, coz TDE is build on KDE3. Maybe less problems?🤔

Okay, BarryK , sorry for the wrong discussion location .Next time I type in https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=8844 . Anyway, libvirt is not bad, but the best is (was) their virt-manager, which RedHat has replaced now with "Cockpit" see this link: https://www.redhat.com/en/blog/m...

Okey thanks, but I think in qemu you can just replace .img with .raw, then if you like convert to .qcow2, or .vdi or .vmdk, ... No really need for an .iso file. Anyway, nice to have :-)

Good day, I've seen a lot of posts now, how to get EasyOS running as virtual machine. Nothing wrong about it, but I'm thinking of using EasyOS as host for VM's. Back in 2012 I started with VMware on Ubuntu, then Virtualbox, Qemu, Xen. It's all working well, but I don't have much memory, so it's all ...
