Re: Fatdog64-9.02 - How to connect to the Free Cloudflare Warp VPN Wireguard Server using the FOSS Wireguard Client

Thanks for your detailed guide dogcat ! :goodpost:

Aren't the required wireguard packages available in Gslapt?

Which ports exactly need to be open in the Firewall?

Can this setup also be used for commercial Warp+ subscriptions?

Can you run this as a non-root user?

Looking forward to your ...

Checksum Mismatch for kernel-modules.sfs-6.9.7-tmpfs-test

When comparing the published md5sum of kernel-modules.sfs-6.9.7-tmpfs-test with the one of the downloaded file, the hashes do not match:

https://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/kernels/900/kernel-modules.sfs-6.9.7-tmpfs-test.md5sum.txt

So it appears that the published sfs file has been changed:

The tiles that I created use the same format and size like your default ones that already ship with Fatdog @jamesbond. Will post them this weekend when I am back at my main system.

Great idea @step! Looking forward to it... :thumbup2:

Does the posted link work in any browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) or is this Chrome specific?

Adding Additional Wallpaper Background Tiles?

Fatdog comes by default with different gray tone wallpaper tiles (light gray / dark gray), which is a bit limited.

When I create a new system, I assign a new desktop background color for each new system user with different color tiles that I have created, which I copy with a bash script from an ...

Re: Which Firewall package is in the repository, exactly?

A bash script with yad for the GUI sounds like a cool option for Fatdog:

https://github.com/v1cont/yad

Yad seems to be written in C. Would be interesting to see if it could replicate the FireStarter GUI:

Interesting Yad guide can be found here ...

Re: Which Firewall package is in the repository, exactly?

I currently use eztables and got used to its configuration standard, but as you mentioned, it is not maintained any longer and not very well documented, which can get tricky if you need to set firewall rules that are more complex.

FatDog uses eztables as the default firewall.

However, I just found the following additional firewall package in the repository:

I tried to google the package name but it would not bring up anything relevant.

Re: Running a QEMU Windows VM in FatDog RAM-Only?

Isn't Virtualbox more resource-intensive than QEMU?

The other problem I see is the Windows license. I think you can purchase OEM license keys online. If you activate these keys for a new VM, will that license key not be associated with this specific virtual system ID?

Let's say you delete the VM ...
