No way to solve this, even reinstalling a clean Puppy, using an old version of Google Chrome or using my old keyboard. Nothing works, a real challenge to common sense. I had to decide whether to move back to Palemoon or write things in Geany and paste them into Chrome.

Retrovol is in the startup folder. At boot it is in tray, but I'm sure sometimes it doesn't appear. Let's not worry about that, since now it seems to appears all the time.
