Re: Chrome Error showing some objects [ SOLVED ]
I'm experiencing a problem with Chrome, this browser is making mistakes showing some objects on screen (see picture), it doesn't happen in Palemoon. I'm sure I've seen that problem before, but it is happening again in Google Firebase. Below I'm posting a screen (see the problems in the left) and ...

Hello @Amaponian
I feel that @Sofiya is correct for how you have Chrome installed.
If you are still having Chrome issues in your FossaPup64, I offer this Chrome browser PET option on the forum here .
It is flawless. I've used it for EVERY WoofCE forum distro that exist since that PET became ...

Re: Chrome Error showing some objects
The problem is not in the browser, but in loading icons from the server where the icons are located
Not sure about what you mean:
This doesn't happen in Palemoon (see picture), it only happens in Chrome.

Which Puppy? Always tell us Which Puppy --there are thousands, with about two dozen actively supported-- and what applications are available --and how you get them-- will vary from one Puppy to another.
Also, what type of 'text' files do you want to listen to. Some applications work with 'txt ...

Online cloud-based text to speech. Haven't times changed... used to be robot sounding voices like via espeak or flite. You could create a small pupsave with JUST LibreOffice. There's an old cli utility here for installing multiple packages automatically. Others have written about it, but I couldn't not get it to work for me (dpkg):

Re: What is this WEE problem while booting from a flashdrive?
I've just solved the problem this way:
1. Read the error on screen (probably I never payed attention to this)
2. Put a copy of the grldr file on the root directory of the flashdrive.
(Here the thing advanced a little more: It asked for a grub / menu.lst file)
3. I created a grub from ...

No way to solve this, even reinstalling a clean Puppy, using an old version of Google Chrome or using my old keyboard. Nothing works, a real challenge to common sense. I had to decide whether to move back to Palemoon or write things in Geany and paste them into Chrome.

Bionicpup64 8.0 does have some updates and bug fixes that can be installed.

Quickpet -> Info -> Bionicpup updates
Do this several times to make sure it gets all of them.
Reboot making sure to update the save, so these changes are now being used.
Not sure if any of them ...
