How to install HP Laserjet P1006 on Bionic Pup? (Solved)
I've tried everything I can find with no luck. I'm now running bionicpup32-8.27 after my upgrade to Frugal Puppy. Last thing is to add my old HP Laserjet P1006 printer. However, cups doesn't list it and nothing close worked. What am I missing?

Re: How to update Bionicpup32 8.0 full install?
Thanks perdido, mike and mike! Well I've got puppy frugal working I think. I originally partitioned my HD for Puppy full install. And I think I've installed Puppy Frugal there.
I only have 2GB of ram but everything appears to be working just fine so far.

Re: How to require a password to continue booting to desktop
Hi Phil
Only /root/.xlockrc existed. I trashed it. And, re-setup Xlock and every thing is working. Thanks!

Re: Xlock Not Working
The only "icon" is in the shutdown menu. Tried it. Nothing happens. Yes, I found the screensavers, but nothing there either. Yes, I've tried the system section "activate Xlock", but again nothing happens. I'll look at Phil's post. And, report back later.

Xlock Not Working (SOLVED)
Xlock (xlock_gui-0.2-7) not working on my old Dell Vostro 1400 32 bit laptop with bionicpup32-8.0+0-uefi.iso. Tried
reinstalling xlock, but still doesn't work. I feel it's a minor fix, but beyond my newbie capabilities. Thanks in advance.

Re: Need Password on bionicpup32-8.0-uefi
Thanks, bigpup.
Apparently, my lock screen (xlock_gui-0.2-7) isn't working. So this method isn't working right now. I tried reinstalling it, but still no response on gui. (Another problem to fix.)
I'll look at the alternate method.

Need Password on bionicpup32-8.0-uefi (SOLVED)
I'm just a Linux newbie, but I'd like to put password protection on bionicpup32-8.0-uefi. I've searched the internet, but found nothing that works. I don't need high security - just a way to keep grand kids from destroying my old computer. Thank you in advance.
