Re: Firefox ESR 64bit ALSA

Hello, ozsouth! Thank you very much for your firefox-esr64-daas-9141.pet with Alsa suppport. This works perfectly with Puppy Linux 6.0.6 64bit. Ozsouth, I understand that you now use your Firefox updater with Apulse-only support. However, if you ever find a way to update firefox-esr64-daas-9141 when ...

Re: Firefox ESR 64bit ALSA - on hold

Hi again, ozsouth! >The Debian testing version (bookworm) is current, but >I'm unsure of dependencies and you would still need to load/unload new versions. As I told you before, the Debian version (your firefox-esr64-daas-78150.pet) is compatible out of the box with Puppy Linux 6.0.6 64bit, so it ...

Re: Firefox ESR 64bit ALSA

Hi, ozsouth! Thanks for your reply. Yes, I tried your Firefox ESR 64bit updater ( firefoxesr64u2.pet ). It installs in Puppy Linux 6.0.6 64bit, and I was able to update to Firefox ESR 94.4.1 64bit However, as far I can see and test, this Firefox doesn't work with Alsa. Could you please let me know ...

Re: Firefox ESR 64bit ALSA

Hello, ozsouth!

Thank you for your pet for Firefox ESR 78.15.0 64bit! It works perfectly with Puppy Tahr 6.0.6 64bit. However, please let me ask you, how do I update your Firefox ESR 78.15.0 64bit to Firefox ESR 91.4.1 64bit (latest as of December 2021)?

Happy Holidays!

Re: Whatsapp-for-linux by Enes Hecan

Thank you, PipzDex, but that requires a telephone every time one wants to use Whatsapp. I don't want to use a telephone, except for the very first time for registration purposes. Regardless, I cannot proceed with my tests for the time being as my laptop is lacking resources. But I will upgrade it ...

Re: Whatsapp-for-linux by Enes Hecan

Vin, I am looking for a true Whatsapp desktop application for Linux (or Windows, for that matter) so that it does not require the use of a phone, except for registration purposes. About security issues, well, I don't know. Snoring_cat, if whatsapp-for-linux by Enes Hecan is just a repackage of the ...

Whatsapp-for-linux by Enes Hecan

Hello, e-group! I am trying to install whatsapp-for-linux by Enes Hecan on my XenialPup64 LiveCD. This is a snap app package, and supposedly it works better on Ubuntu Xenial or newer distros (and conceivably on Puppy Xenial or newer distros as well), even though I am mainly a TahrPup64 LiveCD user ...

Re: freememapplet not updating free space in real time

Hello, Dingo (and folks)! Dingo, I might have good news for you. You can find the source for the original "freememapplet v1.0" by Lior Tubi on a post here: https://oldforum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=8239 Also, the source for "systrayapplet 0.01" (a slightly modified version of "freememapplet v1 ...

Re: Tahr Pup 64-bit: what's your opinion?

I'd like to add that Firefox 78.6.1esr (64-bit) is working with no issues with my Tahr64 6.0.6 LiveCD as of now (very early June 2021). As a matter of fact, I am writing from it right now.

Re: freememapplet not updating free space in real time

Thanks, bigpup! The most recent Puppy Linux version I have been able to find out that comes with freememapplet (with numbers) as default is Puppy Lucid 5.01, 32-bit of course, so this freememapplet does not work directly on Puppy Tahr 6.06 64-bit. Hopefully, Dingo (hi, Dingo!) will be able to modify ...

Re: freememapplet not updating free space in real time

Dingo says: "I mean that I would prefer an old style freemenapplet that shows free space in pupsave as numbers in its tray app, like in puppy 3.01 without needs to passing over with pointer". Disco Makberto says: "Hi! Has there been any advancement in this sense? I am too interested in a ...
