Hi @dimkr ,
Somehow I can't set resolution to the default 1920x1080. I have nvidia gt1030 card. I do not have this issue with other recent puppies though.
Do I need to install an nvidia driver? Thanks.

Hi wiak, rockedge,
Thanks for the reply. I would really want to try your suggestions but I have no idea how set the root password from a distro's mounted rootfs.

Re: 'WeeDogged' Manjaro XFCE
Hi wiak,
I tried diferrent distros (mint, linuxfx, elementary) and they successfully booted. However, I always get stuck on the login screen. The distro's default username and password does nothing.
How can I bypass the login screen like in Manjaro?

but the name sounds like something available just by numbered layer arrangement in WDL. Of course if you load a puppy filesystem in higher layer than (say) 04fristrib_rootfs.sfs (i.e. main root filesystem being used) in WDL its contents will clobber the underlying WDL files when they collide in ...

I am wondering if it is possible to make a specific layer isolated or containerized.
Here's the thing. I want to be able to use puppy pre-installed apps from my fav distro but I don't have the pet files and I don't know how to create individual sfs out of those pre-installed apps, and ...

It's unfortunate that there's not a lot of WDL users to give feedback or even contribute scripts/plugins because this is really a great tool. As fredx181 mentioned earlier, it may be too overwhelming for a newcomer. It was quite overwhelming for me at first but I was too excited to give up ...

Re: 'WeeDogged' Manjaro XFCE
I think using a plugin recipe file type of mechanism that already exists for the build_root_fs script might be the angle to achieve this.
I'll look into that also. Thanks!
I haven't explored much, specially the scripts. I am still more on wrapping my mind around the WDL concept at this stage ...

I'd like to report a problem. When you save the directory with a space in the name (ex. "Portable Apps" - note the space between "Portable" and "Apps"), the profile will be saved in another directory, not in the same directory as the appimage. In my case, it's here: /initrd/dev_saveApps ...

Thanks for making these easy-to-use portable apps even easier to use. Those Menu Add/Remove scripts are very helpful additions.
