But that was my point... When you say "You make a USB once!": I could not. I tried a lot of different ways to do just that, and they failed without feedback. The softwares I used to properly create a bootable USB based on the FossaPup64, were not doing their job, worse they were telling me the job ...

I got the same problem on all my PCs. I created my USB from different software (Startup disk creator, ...) and always ended up with pmedia=cd.
The simplest solution for me was to use unetbootin: https://unetbootin.org
