Re: There is something wrong with the way puppy linux way of handleling WiFi adapters
Do the standard diagnostic test for wifi.
Run the command: dmesg | grep -i firmware
No reply to this?
I guess not. Complaining is easy. Problem solving is hard.
You need to ask the puppy linux team or guy/girl responsible for wifi stuff...not me...
I am just reporting my ...

Re: There is something wrong with the way puppy linux way of handleling WiFi adapters
@joet12345 - As an example, iwlwifi has over 130 firmware files. Many are 2mb. This is just one type of adaptor. Multiply that plus drivers for the many different types of adaptor and you get over 1gb quickly. That not to say we can't improve, as @dimkr says, just that the devs have a hard time ...

Re: There is something wrong with the way puppy linux way of handleling WiFi adapters
@joet12345 - the other OSes you mention are 5+ times the size of Puppy. Hence they contain many more drivers. Puppy is a fairly minimalist OS. From creation, that was always Puppy's mission. The Devs try to include the most common drivers, but Puppy will require added drivers for some folk. We try ...

Re: There is something wrong with the way puppy linux way of handleling WiFi adapters
And they work fine under Linux mint, ubuntu, others but puppy Linux struggles...
Same scenario with other adapters....one of the reasons it is stopping me to use puppy Linux daily... I remember Wi-Fi issues in the early stages of Linux so that reminds me of puppy Linux in the year 2021..

@joet12345 Your Steinmetz links are interesting, but you appear to be equating "light" with "lightning".
I would suggest some research on James Clerk Maxwell. Any high school physics text will do.

Tell me, how do you feel about the statement that planet Earth is not a planet at all, but flat as a dish? Astronauts lie to us that the Earth is a spheroid?

Wrong. Look up "light" in Wikipedia.

Re: Improving your code development skills
Ha!
Imagining myself as a 9yo. OK, here goes:
.
(ball+square)+(ball+triangle)+(triangle+square)=10+20+24
2balls+2triangles+2squares=10+20+24
2(ball+triangle+square)=54
ball+triangle+square=54/2
all 3 must be 27 .
I'm still 9
I would have to be 10yo to give you the weighted value for ...

Re: Improving your code development skills
Recently I saw a math problem from a textbook for the third grade (in Russia this is an elementary school, children are 9 years old). Many parents are unhappy and swear at the high complexity of the modern school :)
The bottom line is this. The first two figures weigh 10 kilograms. The second ...

This subreddit only had bots in it: https://old.reddit.com/r/SubredditSimulator/
I have a gut feeling reddit uses a bunch of bots to upvote topics to push stuff to their front page....I could bet a dollar that I am correct.

I already know this type of forum platform has to do with google because it needs google cookies to function well....so I have noticed google and bing bots here in the "Registered Users:"
Which is no big deal but just interesting to see.
