Re: How to copy list of file names to clipboard?

Hey LANdpLAN

I have ver. 0.8.18.1

If you cannot get it let me know and I will put it on my GDrive share.

I run PorteuX but it also works on my Puppy Slacko-15

Leafpad also prints the paths of multiple files dropped into it, one per line.

I like all of the letters of the alphabet equally, but a really cool name is deserved imo. Something with "mega" or "ultra".

I am going to add it to my right click context menu.

Thanks for the cool app!

Re: Clock on Puppy forum pages

I use a small Conky with Date and Clock in it's own window, set to "keep above" other windows. It is small enough to put over a blank area on just about any program I use.

I have both panels / taskbars set to autohide, making the Conky Clock a nice feature for me.

Figlet is also used in AsciiFlow

which also runs from a local folder when saved as a complete web page.

Easy and fun.

Every modern TV I have used with a computer has cutoff 50 pixels on each side and 30 pixels off the top and bottom. I add 4 panels to create a reduced desktop area and everything is good.

Hi l0wt3ch

Sorry, I do not.

Too bad you did not get a straight answer the first time, or the second either. Sounded like a politician. Should have been "Info cannot be found".

I think personal pronouns should not be used by a computer program.

Re: Gtkdialog Calendar

Hi rockedge

Thanks for the cool calendar app.

As usual I like to break things, so I saved a long one-liner (200) and restarted the app. The window was as wide as the line with no word wrap.
I then saved a multi-line (100) entry and upon restart the window bottom went down past the monitor with no ...

Re: Is there a simple way to run a script at shutdown? [SOLVED]

Hey Marv

" It runs with no intervention or diversion required from me"

You still need to click something to shutdown though, right?

Would a desktop shortcut not survive updates or a reboot?

Confused.

Re: Is there a simple way to run a script at shutdown? [SOLVED]

Hi everybody

I do not see the difference between having a script shortcut to run a progran before shutdown and doing the same thing in /etc/rc.d which seems much more difficult.

Am I missing something? Probably.

So Mike,

How did you

Hi Marv

Thanks again for the brain twister.

I made a script that started Dolphin file manager and then sleep 10 and reboot and it actually worked!

Would that be simple enough?

Hi Marv

When you say "simple" what do you have in mind? What is the goal?
I read the rc.local and it "seems" easy but I am usually wrong.

Thanks for giving me something new to try.

Hey everybody.

I like to try various distros by iso booting and had problems with fragmentation.
I have tried to make them contiguous and even tried --preallocate but no-go.
Probably should just wipe the test partition and start over.

The last link you posted is the same as the first. I read it and then I had to screw my head back on, so I probably will not go that way.

Booting from a network loaded OS is one of the things that would be cool, like the PXE netboot idea. I remember being able to input a URL but did ...
