stupid question but not sure. when i have a puppy save back up and replace the current saved do i replace and then select the dont save option when i reboot or save and then reboot. last time i did this i chose the dont save option and then rebooted./tks

here is how i fixed
put this script in the startup folder

#!/bin/sh
sudo mount -o remount,rw '/initrd/mnt/dev_save'

probably dont need the sudo but it works like a charm

and save doesnt work

okay fixed it while could not figure out how to disable the time out i made these changes to set to 6 minutes
/initrd/mnt/dev_save/menu.lst
and i changed timeout to 360

okay guys tks now if i ever need to use my backup what is the best way to follow (bu will be on another hard drive) should i boot up in ram only no save file and then past or copy to mnt/home after deleting the current save file and .bak tag or boot into puppy normally and do the same or do it anoth...
