Just unzip outside the save, open the folder and click launch.
Better to read his instructions first though, he explains it better.

mikewalsh Im learning new things as I go along. OSS took me to free software, that took me to portable apps and pa.c brought me here. Portable apps, either in Wins or Linux is pretty awesome and easy to figure out. My update came from a post where you had explained updating an app. Credit goes to y...

I guess that’s a security thing? I have a program on my work computer that logs me out automatically if there is no input after 45 minutes.

There's a LaGrange browser that I found awhile back. I had no idea what it was at first, but after looking into it, it seems like a great concept.

D/l-ed the Generic Linux one. Runs in Bionic, opens three windows. But the graphics are garbled, barely legible. I went to the trouble of finding an icon if anyone would like, since one isn't provided.

Re: Old timers - How good were you at playing Arcade games?

Despite having sunk $100 in quarters into the aforementioned Pac-Man machine one summer, and an undetermined amount into others, I was mediocre at best with the electronic video games. My best accomplishment was beating Halo on Xbox and that was with approximately 18 months of playing and being lost...

My update was easy peasy; downloaded the Linux tar, not the deb, unzipped it and copied those files over into the main folder in y...

And one of the first things I learned was that programs can be started from the terminal without having to navigate into the menu. Also, some programs like inxi, which isn’t an included program but very informative, doesn’t have a menu entry and has to be started via the terminal.

Re: Get kernel for ubuntu 21.10

A quick search reveals that Ubuntu 21.10 has kernel 5.15. You could possibly try one of Oz’s 5.15 kernels out. Someone else would need to verify this, as I’m using 5.4.65 in my bionic and I have no experience with any of the newer ones

Might not be the response you want; but I have a different email on my phone than I do for Puppy. So if I need to communicate text from one to the other, I use email. For large files I use google drive or if it’s a download I email the link to my desktop. My pc isn’t Bluetooth compatible so this is ...

Wizard, on your next update, you might want to clear the history in Chromium. It goes back almost a week of your browsing history. Password isn't there, but your log in is still hanging around.

Re: How to turn save File to Folder

Create a folder or directory on your drive and then click* on your save file to open it and then copy/move the contents over to the folder. You can rename the save file so it doesn’t get seen at Puppy boot and hold onto it or delete it if desired. Not sure if this is an approved way of doing this or...
