Re: critical issue with booting usb stick

maybe there is an issue with the vanilladpup ISO?

I have never used any tools mentioned above, bcz it is not universal to be use on all puppys.
Important is install boot manager grub2 or G4D. Edit the grub.cfg or menu.lst.
Nothing wrong with Vanilladpup.iso

I think the last time I use ez v5.5 the rest just kernel panic.
Now I have v5.8.1, but the problem is cpu usage very high and cpu temperature some times over 70 degrees.
Maybe only me?

Re: How to make a Multi-Boot USB?

@number77 Additional information for you. Grub2 is standard recommanded bootmanager for linux in general. You can use it for frugal install, direct isobooting and full install. In my opinion, Just follow bigpup suggestion. Note. Direct isobooting is easy/simple, but it is not possible for system upd...

@jamesbond Thanks for testing, which the other OSs without that problem. I think it is just crappy graphic card of my HpLaptop especially for fatdog. I tested also on my PC fatdog works fine. Dont worry, I will go back to cursor default with 1440x900 screen resolution that I used to. Have a good day.

Re: How to turn off screensaver?

Sorry my mistake. The problem was, I did not fully/100% close the lid of my laptop. Some systems got confuse and triggered the screensaver/blanking out of control, but other systems have no problem at all.
Have a good day.

Re: Grub2config replaces Grub4Dos

Puppy linux is basically frugal install, NOT fullinstall, that's why you dont understand. You need exact boot parameter to be able working properly. Boot parameters in puppies are not the same like you think, some use psave, savefile or w_change or something else. So you need to edit manually in you...

The new cursor is not too large, but to make it works without problem I have to change the screen resolution to higher setting otherwise I will get the image in my first post.

Normally my monitor resolution 1440x900 for all OSs. I think, the screen resolution 1600x1200 is fit for using Obsidian 48 cursor.
Hope no more problem.

Re: Save-interval=0 is not working

It is clear to me 0=NEVER=(Not save anything at shutdown).
Can someone guide me, where is the location/file of the script that I can change >0 to =0 ?
It must work like easyos #3.
Easyos has 3 options:
#1. Yes or Not save #2. Autosave #3. Automatic do not save at shutdown.
Thanks.

Re: Save-interval=0 is not working

If by "skip the save session" you mean not saving anything at all you can choose to do that. Thanks for your reply. That's what Pupmode13 for to maintain your system the same size(pristine boot). This methode works in easyos, porteus, mxlinux even in M$-Windows. Now go back to the problem...

What I want, saveinterval equal 0 to skip the save session.
